Short Description

This position is in our Horseshoe Road, Lancaster Facility and works flexible hours in order to meet business demands. We are seeking an Applications Developer with a concentration on database development who can help support innovative solutions for site operations. Responsibilities will include a heavy emphasis on support of internal applications as well building databases that support operations. The position must also provide support functions to both internal and external clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with internal and external clients to gather requirements and set up accounts on the company's proprietary workflow systems.

  • Troubleshoot client issues with the systems and work to resolve functionality related issues and escalate technical issues to the appropriate response teams.
  • Provide training to clients regarding the use, functionality and navigation of the systems and system functionality enhancements.
  • Prepare general use guides and develop client specific documentation and templates.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Daily system support for internal and external clients including hotline phone and email coverage
  • Enhancement requests: gather requirements, analyze and develop request into generic or custom solution, testing, and communication with clients and end-users
  • Handle ad hoc requests for data extracts and queries
  • Provide user administration: user profile maintenance, security authorizations, and resetting passwords
  • Ensure programming requirements are met by developing specifications for internal clients to work from.
  • Maintain user satisfaction by providing timely responsiveness to user inquiries and problem logs.
  • Contribute to team productivity by providing teammates with insights gained during problem resolution.
  • Demonstrate teamwork while displaying professional and mature behavior.
  • Ability to multi-task and keep project requirements organized while quickly adapting to changing priorities.
  • Manipulate data throughout database software.
  • Maintains, codes, documents, and tests programs in compliance with company standards for development to ensure client requirements are being met.
  • Perform Customer Service type duties with both internal and external clients.
  • Offer guidance to internal and external clients for programming needs catered to various business rules for multiple clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of 2-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, business related field or equivalent experience.

1-3 years of application development experience. General knowledge any of the following is preferred but not required:

  • AS400
  • C#
  • VB
  • SQL Server
  • PDF manipulation

Must demonstrate knowledge in any of the following areas:

  1. FileMaker Pro
  2. Microsoft Office Applications
  3. Spreadsheet experience
  4. Experience and/or Training:

  5. Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience developing databases and reports.
  6. Programming and/or developing experience in Windows based systems.
  7. Database background with a strong emphasis on Data Manipulation skills and File Reporting
  8. Strong Problem Solving and Application Design Ability
  9. Excellent Written and Verbal Communications
  10. Leadership skills along with the ability to demonstrate strong teamwork skills and a solid work ethic
  11. Have the ability to learn new software and development applications
  12. SQL
