Summary Job Statement

The IT System Administrator - Directory and Messaging reports to the Manager - IT Network and Infrastructure in the Corporate IT Department and will assist and support the Manager - IT Network and Infrastructure in managing the CCBCU Directory and Messaging Environment. The position's role is to manage and monitor the CCBCU Directory and Messaging Environment to achieve high performance and availability of these systems. This includes monitoring for and reporting of system outages, failure of certain components or devices identified by the Manager - IT Network and Infrastructure. They will also assist the Manager - IT Network and Infrastructure with monitoring logs, system messages, perform troubleshooting operations and generate alerts, messages and reports of system issues related to the CCBCU Directory and Messaging Environment.

Responsibilities

  • The IT System Administrator - Directory and Messaging is responsible for maintaining the Active Directory and Messaging Systems including Azure and On Premise Active Directory and Directory and Messaging Mail cloud configurations, Directory and Messaging Mail clients and Microsoft Skype clients.
  • Perform technical administrative tasks on a daily basis to ensure the stability and availability of our Directory and Mail servers, troubleshooting Directory and Messaging servers, mail routing and replication issues.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Directory and Messaging administrative best practices to ensure a highly reliable and highly available infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 0-2 years related

    experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and be in compliance with CCBCU's fleet policy.
  • Education: B.S. in Information Systems or relevant area or equivalent job experience.
  • Microsoft Directory and Messaging, Office 365 and Azure and On Premise Active Directory systems administration in a large enterprise corporate structure.
  • Experience with server troubleshooting and replication.
  • Have technical knowledge in troubleshooting, integration, and migration of Mail and Directory systems.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and other system protocols.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a demonstrated focus on customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
