Find your future with us.Job SummaryAs an Spacecraft Field Programmable Gate Array Engineer, you will be responsible for conceptualization, design, implementation, and verification of the embedded logic for our reprogrammable satellite computing hardware.

You will work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers and customers across the company to deliver high quality products on a rapid development schedule.This position's internal job code is Software Engineer. Our team is currently hiring for levels 3 - 4.

Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test, and maintain firmware designs in Verilog and VHDL, targeting custom FPGA-based avionics for space applicationsDesign interfaces for sensors, actuators, other avionics, and external payloads using a variety of protocolsSupport system-level integration, test, and operation of space vehiclesContribute expertise to future avionics designsDocument and manage configuration of firmwareMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering; or 5+ years of relevant work experience2+ years of professional experience designing FPGA firmware in Verilog or VHDLPreferred Qualifications and Experience5+ years of professional experience developing FPGA firmware for Xilinx and/or Actel devicesExperience with serial protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, SpaceWire, etc.)Experience developing and testing high-reliability and fault-tolerant FPGA designsExperience with simulation, verification, and test of FPGA firmware and embedded systemsHardware debug experience, including familiarity with tools such as the oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and serial protocol analyzersExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, and BashExperience developing software in a Linux Environment with C/C+Familiar with common electronic components and comfortable reading circuit design schematics and contributing to electronics hardware design discussionsPlease note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position.
