POSITION SUMMARYThe Regional Sales Director is responsible for the Sales Management of multiple sales offices across a large (multi-state) geographic region. This role leads the team to achieve sales objectives through formulating market specific sales strategies, sharing best practices, managing customer satisfaction, supporting the corporate product strategies, and engaging in closing large deals.

This role is also responsible for evaluating performance against quota and peer offices, leading good business management practices, gaining deep understanding of office operations, and escalating issues timely and effectively. The RSD integrates a highly matrixed organization of technical sales, marketing, learning development, product offering, and operations to develop and deliver industry leading solutions to our customers. A key part of the role is to establish senior level relationships with office leaders and customers as the face of Vertiv in order to communicate and implement Vertiv's strategy and direction, while also soliciting feedback for executive review.

RESPONSIBILITIES Performance Management Set and manage office objectives (quotas) to successful attainment.Regularly review key metrics with the sales team to identify areas of strength (best practices) and areas of weakness (training and education, balance line of business growth)Leverage data and analytic tools, including PowerBI and Excel, to identify areas of improvement and drive success.Ensure appropriate go to market plan is in place for each office including key account plans, line of business growth, and investment plans.

Assess areas for growth and improvement and create plans to drive improvements at the office and individual level.Assist and Make Recommendations on staffing levels, staff effectiveness, and new hire evaluations.Pipeline Management Actively work with each office to drive new pipeline creation and manage existing pipeline in support of Vertiv's SIOP process and high-performance culture.

Forecast weekly orders expectations for the territory based on pipeline data.Drive continuous improvement with all offices in support of pipeline accuracy.Customer/Sales Office Advocate Understand the barriers to being successful for individual deals and develop solutions to break through to win.

Understand the barriers to selling and work with Vertiv executive leadership to optimize the selling process. Communicate Vertiv Direction and StrategyStrategize with each sales office to implement the Vertiv sales strategies within their unique territories. Develop Market Specific Business Development PlansIdentify unique market traits and develop strategy for leveraging marketing and other sales resources to drive success.

Establish C-level relationships with Key CustomersAct as the face of Vertiv for key customers.Coordinate Technical ResourcesLeverage the Technical support team, both within the COE/LOB and regionally, to bring value to key customers/opportunities.Facilitate the Expansion of Best PracticesIdentify best practices and work to replicate across the company to accelerate sales success.

Lead by ExampleAssess situations quickly and get the right resources involved to solve issues and/or sales objections.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of sales experience with experience leading Indirect selling teams (Manufacture reps., Distributors)7+ years of Product and Service experienceStrong influential skills.

Ability to indirectly influence change. Strong Change Agent skills.Ability to build strong relationships with local Manufacture Representative leaders and their selling teams.

The anticipated total compensation range for this role in the CO locality is between $225k to $250k (60/40 Split) per year ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based.

In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
