Everyday, we proudly partner with financial professionals and institutions to make it possible for more people to take action in their financial lives, for today and tomorrow.Position SummaryThe Head of Reinsurance Accounting is a senior member of the Controllership management team and will provide leadership around a myriad of complex accounting matters including those arising from internal and external reinsurance transactions.

The successful candidate will lead Corebridge's reinsurance accounting function for both U.S. GAAP and U.S. statutory accounting. Additionally, this position will also have responsibility for liaising and providing input to Corebridge's financial statements filed with the SEC and working closely with reinsurance operations, actuarial and the various business unit functions.Organization Structure and InterfacesThis position reports to the Controller.

There is significant interaction with senior leadership, including the CFO, CAO, Business unit CFOs as well as functional areas (eg investments, actuarial, strategic planning). The position will collaborate with business unit teams on the practical implications and available alternatives on reinsurance transactions. The successful candidate will have a high degree of gravitas combined with the ability to interact at the highest levels within the finance organization in synthesizing complex transactions.

In addition, the position will represents the organization in interactions with internal and external auditors. Performance Objectives Leads the accounting implementation for new reinsurance deals or reinsurance related transactions ensuring accuracy and compliance with the accounting regulation. This includes the monitoring and governance, oversight, process change and transaction controls.

Collaborates closely with the office of accounting policy, the broader Controllers' organization, and the Business Unit CFO teams on the evaluation of new GAAP and statutory accounting guidance impacts on reinsurance.Leads the overall accounting function associated with reinsurance on a GAAP and statutory basis which includes, YRT, coinsurance and modco transactions.Implements continuous improvement mindsight to strength the review of quarterly results related to reinsurance.

Exhibits strong leadership presence and can succinctly explain the quarterly reinsurance results.Oversees the internal controls in the reinsurance function.Collaborate with internal and external auditors as appropriate.

In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
