We are seeking professionals who want to build off their existing experience in audit, finance and/or operations and use such knowledge on exciting advisory projects that add great value to our clients within their finance, accounting, and operation departments.

From technical accounting issues, to new standard implementations; from complex transaction support to internal controls, the leaders of our practice will help you in expanding your experience base to further develop your career. As an Accounting and Reporting Advisory Senior Manager, you'll assist in identifying new clients and projects, and delivering quality services that exceed client expectations.

You'll also be responsible for mentoring staff, providing them with developmental feedback and career guidance. You will have the opportunity to participate in the firm's strategic initiatives and help grow our practice. Work you'll do As an Accounting and Reporting Advisory Senior Manager, you will participate in client proposals and oversee day-to-day operations of engagements.

You'll closely work with the team to tackle accounting, reporting and operational issues, while using our cutting-edge tools and technology. You will leverage your various skillsets to be an agile contributor to the practice. Other responsibilities will include: Identify, prepare and participate in proposals for new clients and projectsBe active in the marketplace and build relationships in order to grow the businessIdentify and lead integration of overseas resources to drive efficient executionDevelop, maintain and leverage internal contacts across Deloitte businessesBe a trusted advisor to public and private clients to assist with accounting, financial reporting and internal control mattersStay connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutionsStrengthen client relationships, liaise directly with clients to manage deliverables and deadlines and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution and a strategic approach to service deliveryParticipate in strategic firm initiatives such as the development of written materials to support new service offerings, the development and delivery of training materials, and participation in firm eminence events.

Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conductProvide technical accounting advice, review detailed calculations and manage projects such as:Revenue Recognition and related costs (ASC 606 and ASC 340-40)LeasesCurrent Expected Credit Losses (CECL)Stock-based compensationDerivatives and hedgingBusiness combinationsForeign currenciesEquityEarnings per shareCapitalization of internal use software and website development costsAssist clients with internal controls related matter, including design, implementation, testing and remediationAssist clients with the accounting and reporting aspects of transactions including acquisitions, equity, and debt etc.

Assist clients will all financial and reporting aspects of an IPO both within the US and on foreign stock exchangesAssist clients in complying with SEC financial reporting requirements (10Ks, 10Qs and other filings)Assist with drafting private and public company financial statementsAssist clients in preparing for and completing audits, and liaising with the auditorsAssist clients with thinking through digital transformation, such as automation and analyticsAssist clients strategically leverage technology to improve the operational performance, insightfulness, and risk intelligence across the enterprise The team Our team culture is collaborative and encourages team members to take initiative and seek on-the-job learning opportunities. Qualifications Required 8+ years of public accounting or equivalent experience4+ years of experience in managing and supervising teamsBachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Preferred Strong and up-to-date technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting standardsExperience in researching and clearly documenting accounting issues and applicable accounting standardsAbility to read complex documents, synthesize and summarize important factsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to think creatively, problem solve and work independently on multiple engagementsProven experience in managing client relationships and growing the businessAbility to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levelsStrong on-the-job training skills and a desire to teachExperience working in a fast-paced, team environmentGood project and time management skillsGood presentation skills and an ability to explain complex issues clearly and succinctlyPrior experience in identifying, preparing and participating in proposals for new client and projects an advantagePrior experience in financial reporting and SEC requirements of IPOs an advantageKnowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards an advantagePrior experience around SOX and internal controlsStrong presence in the marketplace and ability to network and build lasting relationshipsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual environmentLimited immigration sponsorship may be available The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $119,490 to $267,280. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
