City of Hope Medical Group is Seeking a Psychiatrist to Join the Main Campus

The Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope National Medical Center is seeking a trained psychiatrist to meet the needs of our growing program on our main medical campus in Southern CA.

Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, chaplains, and others - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. Provide patient-centered care in collaboration with our team of world class, nationally recognized medical, psychiatric, surgical, and radiation cancer specialists as we seek to hire a Full time clinical psychiatrist reporting to the Division Chief of Psychiatry.

• Designated inpatient consultation and outpatient scheduling
  • Position will be a combination of inpatient consultation service and outpatient clinic service
  • Generous 60 minute for new patient appointments and 30-45 minute follow up appointment blocks
  • Flexible schedule: 8am-5pm
  • 90% of patient panel are cancer patients. Experience with oncology patients preferred but not required
  • Physician will practice at the main flagship medical campus
• Division currently includes 3 FTE psychiatrists

• Salary Range - $300k - $335k. The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for Full time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

• Academic record consistent with appointment Assistant, Associate or Professor level at an ACGME accredited program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry (required)
• Additional training in geriatric, psycho-oncology or consultation-liaison psychiatry
• Experience with cancer patients, preferred but not required
• Applicants must have an M.D., D.O. or equivalent degree from an accredited educational institution and boarded (or board eligible) in psychiatry
• Possession of, or eligibility for, unrestricted medical license in the State of California
