The position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. He/she will be responsible for defining IT Infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture, standards and management to include disaster recovery, security, systems, servers, networks and storage. He/she must ensure reliable 24x7 operations. The company is continually looking to transform, progress and conduct business in new and increasingly efficient ways. The Sr. Director, Infrastructure will act as a liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of new IT solutions with our omni-channel initiatives.
THE POSITION
Organizational Structure:
The IT Infrastructure Sr. Director/VP reports directly to the CIO
Responsibilities:
Architect and maintain the Vince technology infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, resiliency, security and cost effectiveness of technology
Own and manage IT General Control environment, including
Change Management
Configuration Management
Incident Management
Own and manage Vince's Cybersecurity strategy and execution. Ensure that Vince is adequately protected from cyber threats and that accepted business risks are fully understood and accepted by senior management
Manage and direct our operations and development outsource business partners (Auxis & Sonata)
Manage Vince IT Help Desk. Manager the end-user computing environment (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, desktop applications, etc.) to ensure end-user needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Manage technology and resources to resolve issues and requests in expeditiously
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, ISO, PCI and other necessary controls to protect data and information assets. Establish and manage compliance with necessary IT policies and procedures for the smooth operations and recovery of the computing environment
Develop a Disaster Recovery strategy plan for critical Vince systems and infrastructure
Assess single points of failure in Vince infrastructure and recommend actions as appropriate (remediate or accept risk)
Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and administration of all IT systems, to include applications, servers, storage, databases, desktops/laptops and mobile devices
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT infrastructure team to include setting priorities, coordinating projects and resources, and the reporting on group activities
Negotiate and establish service level agreements (SLAs) and operating level agreements in alignment with company objectives and customer needs
Design, implement, deploy and manage systems/applications monitoring processes and tools to proactively identify and resolve problems within the company computing environment
Proactively manage the company and vendor resources to work through events/problems in order to minimize end-user impact. Draft and distribute communications to the IT team and affected end-users
Evaluate, recommend, implement and administer cloud-based services to provide key functionality to the company. Negotiate and manage contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are met.
Manage the timely backup and recovery of applications and systems to enable the recovery of information should an adverse event occur
Design, manage, upgrade and deploy standardized hardware and software images and configurations for the end-user computing environment in alignment with business requirement
Establish standardized processes and key operational metrics based upon ITIL to effectively manage the performance of the Operations organization. This includes availability and performance of applications and servers, service desk ticket management, hardware, lifecycle management, etc.
Research and recommend new technologies, applications, hardware, etc.
Qualifications/Experience:
A bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, business information systems, or equivalent 10+ years experience
Demonstrated experience transforming IT infrastructure and moving an organization toward a service delivery model
Proven experience in IT infrastructure management in a complex environment and a background in architecture, systems administration, network administration and storage administration
Proven IT leadership and staff development skills
Leadership experience directing, leading and mentoring IT professionals
Demonstrated delivery orientation
Solid project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Strong knowledge of ITIL and change management systems and methodologies
Demonstrates the business and financial acumen necessary to develop and present data-based ideas and solutions in a clear, concise, organized manner
Experience designing and administering IP based networks, WAN technologies (SD Wan, QOS etc.), virtual server technologies, single sign-on and authentication, DHCP/DNS, MS Azure, MS Dynamics, MS Office 365, SAN/NAS Storage
Strong analytical capability and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledgeable about a broad set of technology platforms, including retail technologies
Effective in influencing and negotiating to achieve amicable outcomes
