Estimator (Building) Dublin Tier 1 Contractor The Opportunity A Tier 1 Contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial and residential building projects in Dublin is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its pre-construction team. The role covers early feasibility through to full tender submission and plays a central role in commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Tender Pricing & Cost Planning Prepare detailed cost estimates from feasibility through to tender submission. Measure quantities from drawings, specifications, and schedules. Build up rates using labour, plant, materials, preliminaries, and overheads. Supply Chain Engagement Prepare and issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers. Analyse and level subcontractor returns and identify anomalies. Engage the supply chain to understand market conditions and risk. Commercial & Technical Review Work with Bid Managers, Planners, and Commercial teams during tenders. Participate in risk and value engineering workshops. Challenge design solutions where cost, programme, or buildability can be improved. Reporting & Handover Prepare tender reports for senior management review. Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations. Provide detailed handover to project commercial teams following award. Requirements Proven experience as an Estimator with a main contractor. Background pricing commercial and/or residential building projects. Strong measurement, analytical, and numerical skills. Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing. Confident IT skills including estimating software and Excel. Salary & Package Salary range: 75,000 90,000 DOE Pension, life insurance, and income protection. Laptop and phone provided.
