Estimator (Civils) Dublin Tier 1 Contractor The Opportunity A Tier 1 Contractor delivering major civils, infrastructure, and enabling works across Dublin is seeking an experienced Civils Estimator to join its pre-construction team. This role focuses on pricing groundworks, RC structures, drainage, utilities, roads, and remediation works. Key Responsibilities Civils Tender Pricing Prepare detailed cost estimates for civils and infrastructure works from feasibility through to tender submission. Measure quantities from drawings, specifications, surveys, and ground investigation reports. Build up rates considering labour, plant, materials, temporary works, and methodology. Risk, Methodology & Temporary Works Assess ground conditions, constraints, and risk allowances. Input into construction methodology, sequencing, and temporary works strategy. Price risk appropriately with commercial and planning teams. Supply Chain Engagement Prepare and issue enquiries to specialist civils subcontractors and suppliers. Analyse returns, identify scope gaps, and level pricing. Engage early with the supply chain to understand market capacity and risk. Commercial & Technical Interface Work with Bid Managers, Planners, Engineers, and Commercial teams. Participate in risk workshops and value engineering exercises. Challenge design assumptions where cost or programme can be improved. Reporting & Handover Prepare tender reports for senior management review. Support post-tender clarifications and negotiations. Provide detailed handover to site and commercial teams following award. Requirements Proven experience as a Civils Estimator with a main or civils contractor. Background pricing groundworks, RC, drainage, utilities, roads, or enabling works. Strong understanding of construction methodology and temporary works. High level of commercial awareness and risk judgement. Confident IT skills including estimating software and Excel. Salary & Package Salary range: 80,000 100,000 DOE Pension, life insurance, and income protection. Laptop and phone provided.
