Join our Team and advance your career as a Procurement Manager - Global Additives Team, Industrial Chemicals for Lubricants. In this role You will: Lead the development and execution of the Additives' strategy.
Develop, manage and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) for suppliers.
Drive value delivery for the Strategic Performance Units (SPU) from the local suppliers.
Support business contingency process by building appropriate risk mitigations.
Participate in all business-critical final negotiations of Industrial suppliers.
Maintain relationships with strategy teams and key business functions.
Lead and oversee execution of the strategy.
Ensure segment sourcing teams promote and encourage outward focus on supply base and both proactively investigate, and track supply market innovations and change instigated by suppliers.
Contribute to development of additives strategy, plans and priorities.
Course correct the category's evolving position based on the risk and opportunity using the procurement chessboard.
Subject matter expert for Additives category and maintaining key partner connectivity.
Track market developing and improvement plan to create more value from supply base interactions.
Define and meet performance measures for the category, reflecting business requirements and market opportunities.
Track levels of risk and provide management information on risk assessments and feedback to the Global Additives Director via agreed risk reporting mechanism.
Lead the full sourcing process to ensure delivery of business plans and category strategies in collaboration with business partners.
Generate the supplier portfolio, select suppliers, and lead the supplier negotiation. Integrate suppliers through the implementation of new contracts, ensuring efficient change management.
Support and drive Offer Development & Innovation (OD&I) activities to promote supply and specification developments in line with business needs and supplier capabilities.
Support provision of timely supply market knowledge to the business, relaying current and future impactful events and their potential consequences.
Work collaboratively with the wider Global Supply Chain (GSC) and Integrated Supply & Trading (IST) shipping to ensure no Additives stock outs at the plants occur.
Support supplier management, including ongoing contract management and control, collation of performance data and plan and execute supplier meetings.
Identify, select, and manage key suppliers for continuous improvement through rigorous cost and value analysis across circa $100m spend.
What You will need to be successful: Fluency in English is essential for effective communication across the business.
A University degree (or equivalent work experience) in a relevant technical or commercial field.
Extensive experience in procurement, with a strong track record in sourcing and category management. A CIPS qualification is highly preferred.
A background in Chemistry or Lubricants is strongly desirable, adding value to your technical expertise.
Proven experience in direct raw material category management within global organizations.
Expertise in advanced sourcing methodologies and tools to drive value and optimize procurement processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement global sourcing strategies, managing both global and regional supply bases. Proven success in delivering multi-year business value aligned with company goals.
Familiarity with tools like E-optimisation, the AT Kearney Chessboard, and experience working within a global procurement matrix would be an advantage.
