Role Definition:

The Project Manager will provide management, oversight and delivery of one or more projects that will typically involve the development, configuration and implementation of business systems and associated processes.

The role holder will deliver projects within agreed parameters of cost, time, and quality through the adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies, selecting the most appropriate delivery mechanism which meets and exceeds business expectations.

The project manager will develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business fostering a collaborative approach to delivery whilst ensuring all risks and issues are reported and understood with mitigating actions in place.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful delivery of IT projects which have a direct business impact, to defined quality criteria and firm deadlines.
  • Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.
  • Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools including the adoption of Waterfall & Agile methodologies.
  • Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and have the appropriate sign off.
  • Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.

  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Sound judgement and highest level of integrity
  • Knowledge of insurance
  • Experience in the delivery of both Waterfall & Agile project deliveries
  • Understanding of system possibilities and dependencies
