Solution Architect (Secure Networking)
Rate£650/day through UMB

Contract 6 months Remote work (1 day a week at Heathrow) 6 x months requirement with possible extension

Your new role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Computacenter on one of our large enterprise client projects. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a consultancy position with a focus on traditional, advanced, and emerging and network solutions.

This position will suit a candidate that enjoys a fast-moving and varied role, working with a large enterprise customer that requires the definition and delivery of advanced technology solutions. Whilst the candidate will be expected to demonstrate the right level of technical expertise and certification in the disciplines required, Computacenter prides itself on providing clients with outstanding advisory services.

Role outline and requirements: Working as part of a team or as the engagement lead with experience in multicloud networking, SASE, datacentre networking, network simplification, automation, observability and application networking and a strong understanding and alignment of security as it relates to the previous technology areas. Leveraging this experience to deliver:

Enterprise level projects:

• Advisory services
• Architecture guidance
• Roadmap definitions
• Design advisory and guidance
• Design development

Pre-Sales:

• Requirements gathering
• Solution definition
• Technical costings
• Governance representation
• Attend Customer opportunity/strategy meetings to understand and articulate business and technical strategy for the company and customer.
• Provide qualification of designs or opportunities and produce high-level architecture/design documentation.
• Work closely with Vendors/Partners to keep up to date with current and future technologies, products, and strategies to manage the 'Cradle to grave' solution provision cycle.
• Act as a Design Authority for nominated key accounts.
• Act as Technical Authority and lead for complex, enterprise-scale, mission-critical customer projects, throughout the project life cycle - Campaign/Advisory, Pre-sales, Planning & Initiation and Delivery
• Work closely with peers and SMEs to create solutions for Computacenter customers.
• Support colleagues in Solutions Sales to identify and create new propositions and services to take to market.
• Maintain a high level of industry awareness through training and self-development.
• Perform governance and due diligence around proposed solutions, ensuring they meet the documented customer requirements.

Technical Experience

Demonstrable expertise in assessing, defining, and supporting enterprise level network transformation projects, including:

• Legacy network assessment
• Network modernisation strategies
• Cloud migration and integration
• SD-WAN architecture
• Network automation and orchestration
• Security compliance and integration
• Performance optimisation
• Application visibility and optimisation
• Wireless LAN
• MPLS
• Strong understanding of networking principles and architecture.
• Proficiency in network automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python Scripting.
• Experience with network transformation initiatives, including Legacy network modernisation and migration to cloud-native architectures.

Relevant certifications:

• Cisco Certified CCNP or CCIE.
• Juniper Certified JNCIP or JNCIE
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

Certification in network automation tools or programming languages:

• Ansible
• Terraform
• Python
• Github
