Principal Systems Engineer - MBSE (Permanent)

Location: Hertfordshire Country: UK Rate: £57k per annum
 

Position Available: Principal Systems Engineer - MBSE
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid) & Dynamic Working Hours
Salary: Up to £57,000 + Company Bonus & Very Good Pension Package
Experience needed: Experience with both Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering is essential for this role. Knowledge of RF systems and data links would be beneficial but is not essential for this role as training can be provided. The ideal candidate would come from a complex, high-technology manufacturing or engineering industry such as defence, aerospace, automotive, maritime, robotics and similar.

We are currently looking for a Principal Systems Engineer who has demonstrable experience in model-based systems engineering to join our team who focus on the creation of the systems behavioural model of a Data Link System within a key product program. This is a rapidly growing team within the business and provides the opportunity to work with a specialist team developing and managing technically challenging technology within the business.

What we need from you:

  • Creation and ownership of MBSE behavioural models
  • A strong background in systems engineering across the full product life cycle
  • Requirements definition and management
  • The ability to work autonomously within a multi-skilled team with a good understanding and dedication to achieving project goals
  • Good communication skills with the ability to produce high quality written reports and presentations to internal and external customers
  • Ideally, you will have experience in providing problem assessments, and proposing design solutions within a culture of innovative thinking

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Leading design reviews across the product life cycle
  • Technical leadership of junior engineers
  • System level functionality proving
