This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.


Reporting to the manager, the Team Leader is responsible for the organization of the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department at the Hampshire Community Hospital. This includes direct staff supervision, the appropriate allocation of staffing resources, scheduling, ensuring adequate levels of all inventory requirements, maintaining a safe and aseptic environment through the implementation of regulations and standards., ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures, statistical data recording, and payroll data collection and entry. In your role as Team Leader you will be required to image patients and provide direct patient care as necessary. Collaboration with other team leaders within Central Zone for assessing and evaluating staffing requirements.


. Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology plus certification from CAMRT and NSAMRT
* Three years experience required
* Formal management course preferred
* Strong leadership skills
* Current CPR an asset
* Ensures competency, maintains an ongoing interest in updating knowledge on new equipment and procedures
* Must have the ability to consistently perform technical procedures with a high degree of accuracy and must be able to work as a team and work alone
* Must communicate effectively with customers and colleagues and must recognize, respect and maintain patients confidentiality
* Practices excellent patient care; demonstrating courtesy, kindness and understanding using effective communication skills
* Strong organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to prioritize upon short notice while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
* Well-developed decision making, analytical, interpretation, negotiation, and problem solving skills
* Understanding of NSHA policies and organizational structure
* Conflict management skills and knowledge of appropriate resources
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Salary Information

$31.4609 - $38.1935 hourly
