Name and description of the hiring department:
The Support Field Services team is looking for a dynamic candidate to provide analytical support to Bell s Field Operations teams. This opening is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in working in a challenging and high-profile environment.

The job requires an individual who is open to change, has strong business acumen and is results-oriented. As such, the candidate must be able to manage change while working efficiently in a collaborative environment with different business units.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all databases implemented by the team (structure and content), for designing, developing and testing internal web applications and mobile tools, and for supporting information system operations for our community of users.

Job Duties/Accountabilities:

  • Build, design, develop and program new web applications and mobile products in an effort to make Field Services more efficient and productive. Perform unit testing as required
    • Analyze and evaluate the requirements for new and existing tools
    • With minimal guidance, gather and analyze information from various sources to ensure its integrity, and resolve any anomalies
    • Use Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and Microsoft TFS to maintain source code and perform code review
  • Offer support to web application & tool users by diagnosing, isolating, and de-bugging problems with existing applications
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities in existing applications in order to achieve optimal results while ensuring accuracy and adhering to tight deadlines
  • Create and modify reports/queries based on internal customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain reference documents for internal customers
  • Work closely with the manager in charge of the team, and with all managers within our organization and Field Services
  • Communicate verbally or in writing with Field Services technicians and managers, as well as with any other parties involved

Essential Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server (SQL queries, Stored procedures, Data management)
  • Advanced knowledge of ASP.NET web development using .NET framework 4.0 and above, MVC 6, Entity Framework
  • Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented Programming using C#
  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, Angular 4 and 4.5
  • Intermediate knowledge of Responsive design using CSS and Bootstrap
  • Intermediate knowledge of TFS, Visual Studio 2015 (or above) and Web server IIS
  • Knowledge of REST web services using .NET Web API
  • Hands-on software development application (project lifecycle), or IT infrastructure operational support experience
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines and ensure effective project follow-up
  • Flexibility with regard to performing out-of-mandate tasks, as required
  • Strong communication skills (spoken and written) conducive to addressing an audience of managers
  • Ability to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • SAS environment (Statistical Analysis System), Crystal Reports
  • Knowledge of SQL server database administration (database backup, automatic jobs and data base replication) and SQL server Integration and reporting services (SSIS, SSRS)
  • Visio is an advantage
  • Bilingualism (English and French)

Working Conditions:

  • No Telework
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday with a work period between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
