: Leading Renewable Energy company currently has an outstanding opportunity for a HR & Payroll Officer to join their team in the Northern Beaches. Full Job Description As a HR (People) and Payroll Officer you would be working as an integral part of the Human Resources team, assisting with the management of the payroll for our Australian employees and providing administrative support to the HR department.

This role will best suit someone who has experience in Payroll and genuine interest in contributing to People & Culture within the workplace and can work collaboratively as part of passionate and high performing team that is driven by creating impact in the transition to a cleaner, greener future. Responsibilities: Payroll functions: Providing information and answering employee queries around policies, monthly payroll and other minor HR matters. Managing electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets.

Calculating payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions. Setting up the payroll payments, PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation on the banking platform and bank reconciliation Keypay handling across all payroll requirements including leave balances and assisting with payroll reporting as required Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end employee benefit statements, Knowledge of FBT laws and application Single touch payroll STP in accordance with ATO requirements Preparing and issuing earnings statements Coordinating with the HR team to ensure correct employee data and maintain accurate employee records in the systems, such as Employment Hero and Keypay Preparing the annual staff cost budget HR Administration: Providing general administrative assistance to the HR department. Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department Supporting the HR planning and end-to-end recruitment process candidate management, phone screening, shortlisting to hiring managers, scheduling interviews and arranging pre-employment checks for successful candidates.

Owning the onboarding/induction process for new hires and processing terminations/offboarding requirements. Assisting with the running of training programs led by HR, HR events and meetings Management of budgets for Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives across the business Assist with ad-hoc HR projects (ie Employee Engagement surveys, Performance Review Cycle, other L&D, etc.) Contribute to building a supportive and culturally aligned work environment Assist employees and candidates with completing employee records and maintain these records within Employment Hero and Keypay Actively contribute to the process of continuous cultural improvement Assist the HR team with managing the HR Inbox Assisting in the implementation of global initiatives Qualifications: Skills and Experience: Degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred.

1+ years of experience working in a payroll officer role that includes general business administration. Proficiency in payroll software programs such Keypay and employee engagement system, Employment Hero. Working knowledge of relevant tax/superannuation regulations related to payroll Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Able to prioritize and multitask effectively. Outstanding administrative skills and advanced MS Office/Excel skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.

Strong numerical aptitude, great attention to detail, and process-oriented mindset. Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills. Proactive, with a learning/can-do attitude.
