Senior HR Consultant (Contract)

Location: London and Remote Country: UK Rate: £800 per day
 

A forward-thinking ECO start-up committed to driving positive environmental impact through innovative solutions is seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to establish and lead a HR and Recruitment function. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the mission while shaping the culture and talent landscape of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy Development: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's goals and values, with a focus on promoting a diverse, inclusive, and environmentally conscious workplace culture.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection, to attract top talent that aligns with the company's mission and requirements.
Employee Onboarding and Engagement: Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and facilitate their integration into the organisation. Implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
Performance Management: Establish performance management systems and processes to set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and recognise and reward high performance. Develop training and development plans to support employee growth and career progression.
Employee Relations and Compliance: Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
HR Administration: Oversee HR administration activities, including payroll processing, benefits administration, HRIS management, and maintenance of personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
Learning and Development: Identify training and development needs within the organisation and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver learning initiatives that enhance employee skills and capabilities.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to support organisational growth and transformation, proactively addressing resistance and facilitating smooth transitions.
HR Reporting and Analytics: Develop and analyse HR metrics and KPIs to track and evaluate HR performance, identify trends, and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and employees, to understand their needs and priorities and provide effective HR support and guidance.

Requirements:

1 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; CIPD qualification preferred.

2 Proven experience as a Senior HR Consultant or HR Manager, preferably within the start-up or technology sector.

3 Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in the UK.

4 Experience in establishing HR functions from scratch, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.

5 Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, including sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and employer branding.

6 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders.

7 Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving HR initiatives that contribute to organisational success.

8 Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.

9 Passion for environmental sustainability and commitment to promoting eco-friendly practices in the workplace.
