SAP APO SME

Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a APO SME with hands on skills and exposure to APO Quota and APO Heuristics.

Our client is looking for a SME to be able to perform an assessment & guide the client and make enhancements within APO Quota and APO Heuristics.

2 week contract initially which may expand Dependent on clients' needs.

Immediate start
Hybrid working agreement
Denmark (expenses paid if onsite is required).

*Must be a UK or EU resident and able to work on site in Denmark unrestricted.

The role/Must haves:

• Ability to configure and run heuristics to generate feasible supply plans, considering capacity and material constraints.
• Experience with customizing heuristics to meet specific business requirements.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP Configuration, including CIF (Core Interface) for data transfer between SAP ECC and SAP APO.
• ABAP programming skills for customizing and enhancing standard functionalities.
• Understanding of SAP BW (Business Warehouse) for reporting and data extraction.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in planning processes.
• Ability to interpret and analyze planning results, and make recommendations for improvements.

Integration Knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of how SAP APO integrates with other systems, such as SAP ERP, and external data sources.
• Experience with end-to-end process flows, from demand forecasting to production planning and order fulfillment.

Exposure to APO Quota

• Quota Distribution: Experience in setting up and managing quota arrangements for products, ensuring the correct distribution of supply quantities across different plants or vendors.
• Quota Allocation: Familiarity with configuring quota allocation methods, ensuring efficient use of available resources and meeting business objectives.
• Simulation and Scenario Planning: Proficiency in using simulation tools within SAP APO to test and validate different quota distribution scenarios.

Exposure to APO Heuristics

• Heuristic Algorithms: Expertise in working with various heuristic algorithms, understanding their logic, and applying them to specific planning scenarios.
• Heuristic Planning Runs: Hands-on experience in configuring and executing heuristic planning runs, analysing results, and troubleshooting issues.
• Optimization Heuristics: Knowledge of optimization heuristics for more complex planning environments, including setting up and fine-tuning optimizer settings to achieve optimal plans.

Practical Experience

• Project Implementation: Involvement in multiple full-cycle implementations of SAP APO, with a focus on quota management and heuristic planning.
• User Training and Support: Experience in training end-users and providing ongoing support to ensure effective use of SAP APO functionalities.
• Continuous Improvement: Engagement in continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging APO tools to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
